Whoever created the pizza-scented Ninja Turtle Controller has crossed the line once again.

If you find certain scents calming and relaxing, you're probably smelling lavender. What if I told you that there is a way to fill your bedroom with an enticing New York-style scent without actually eating pizza or buying $30 candles?

To celebrate the release of the animated film "Teenage Mutant Ninja: Mutant Mayhem," Xbox has announced a series of Ninja Turtle-themed wireless controllers. Each controller comes with a special scent that will make you look forward to the movie, even though you might get strange looks if you pull out your Xbox controller in a movie theater.

These controllers are designed with a pizza-shaped scent diffuser that attaches to the top of the gamepad, giving the controller a delightful aroma like "a slice of delicious New York 'za," as the press release states.

The controllers come in four colors, each representing one of the brothers. Personally, I like Michelangelo Orange. The exact duration of the scent is not mentioned, but if you've ever had pizza in your own room, you know that the aroma tends to linger for a while.

But if this controller turned out to smell like pepperoni, ice cream, mushrooms, anchovies, peanut butter, and jelly beans (Mikey's classic favorite pizza), I would want to throw it out the window. I don't live in a sewer, so I don't have to mask one gross smell with another.

The only way to get this nightmarish scent is through a sweepstakes that you can enter on Xbox's Twitter, or X, account. If you live near New York City, like I do, you can check out this controller and smell it in the Xbox Gaming Lounge at the Microsoft Experience Center on August 2. Aroma Shooter makes a device that can smell cartoons, and humans are clearly blithely on this dark and smelly road to olfactory doom.
