Blizzard fixed the best bugs in Diablo 4.

A new patch for "Diablo 4" has arrived and contains a number of welcome fixes and bugs, including UI tweaks that reduce unintended Premium Battle Pass activation. However, some of the changes this patch makes to the game are very disappointing, to say the least.

First, on the positive side, a complaint about Diablo 4's interface surfaced earlier this week: the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game include a single unlock for a Premium Battle Pass that can be used in any season, but the problem, As soon as you open the Season Journey menu, a button to activate it appears, and even worse, the cursor automatically focuses on that button. This led to a number of people accidentally using the unlock, leading to accusations that Blizzard was using elements of "dark design" to encourage misclicks.

In response, Community Development Director Adam Fletcher said Blizzard was working on a "temporary" fix. As it turns out, Blizzard has gone a little further than that: the new patch, as promised, places the default focus on the Season Journey button instead of the Premium Battle Pass activation button, and also adds a confirmation popup to the Battle Pass activation.

Other issues addressed in the patch include changing the Werebear and Werewolf coat colors to reduce brightness in certain situations, fixing a bug that was causing movement issues with some controllers, causing players to faint when combining Dark Dance with the malignant power of Punishing Speed Another fix for an issue that was causing players to faint when combining the Dark Dance with the malignant power of Punishment Speed, as well as various crash fixes and stability improvements.

All good stuff, but I was really hoping Blizzard would leave this one thing alone: in one of the chapters of the current season of Diablo 4, players need to obtain 10 caches from the "whispering tree," but they don't have to be different It was discovered last week that they don't have to be different: get one cache, pick it up and put it down 10 times, and you've accomplished the mission.

It was a silly, harmless glitch that didn't affect the game in any way, and letting it go seemed to me to be an easy way for Blizzard to get a little credit from the community. Video games are supposed to be fun, right?" But Blizzard seemed to think differently and fixed this glitch as well, Killjoys and I say, "Killjoys.

Anyway, Diablo 4's 1.1.0c is out now, and the full patch notes are below, and remember that Blizzard has a bigger update in the works, and will be talking more about it in a developer stream "Campfire Chat" on July 28! Don't forget.
