In May, Creative Assembly released the roadmap for Total War: Warhammer 3. First on the list of DLC additions was Shadows of Change, scheduled for summer 2023, for Tzeentch, Cathay and Kislev. New legendary lords and units will be added; a short story distributed by CA confirms that the lord of Cathay is Yuan Bo of Jade Dragon. You must be logged into your Total War dashboard to read it. If you have problems logging in, try logging in in incognito mode.
Yuan Bo (Yuan is pronounced like Ywen and rhymes with Gwen. Like his brothers, however, he can transform into a literal dragon, and serves as both an administrator of Cathay and an executioner. The short story also introduces his flying assassin, Onyx Crowmen, possibly a unit of the Jade Dragon's army.
Since the title of the DLC is "Shadows of Change," the additional legendary ruler of Tzeentchia was to be a changeling, a shapeshifting trickster. However, it is not yet known who will be added to the Kislevite roster. Currently, the most likely candidate is Mother Ostankia, the mother of Baba Yaga, who is basically Baba Yaga.
Patch 4.0 will accompany the DLC, adding free legendary heroes and achievements to the Immortal Empires campaign. According to a recent blog post, Immortal Empires will be tutorialized and a series of missions will be added to guide players through the early stages of the game. Additionally, a new slider will be added to the combat difficulty settings, allowing players to control AI status increases.
