A bug in "Remnant 2" literally dodges the game's respec cost.

The Respec cost of Remnant 2 has been a sore spot since its release. For those who don't know, to respec in Remnant 2, you need to buy an Orb of Undoing from Wallace and reassign the characteristics.

Unfortunately, this requires 3 Lumenite crystals and 2,500 scraps, which is quite a lot, especially in the early to mid-game. However, one skilled player has found a way to dodge the Respec tax. Literally

user NonHeroJC, in a post on Subreddit yesterday, posted video evidence that they used Orb of Undoing and dodged the rolling in the same instant. Miraculously, the orb is not consumed, but the characteristic points are reset. You can watch them pull it off below.

"Just use the orb and roll a dodge immediately after," NonHeroJC wrote. The effect of the orb will go through, but the animation to remove it from your inventory will be canceled."

It also appears to work with mouse and keyboard, as user Sleepingpeaks confirms. However, to ensure success, it is recommended that both the use and dodge roll keys be set to the same key bindings.

A patch for this exploit may be imminent, but it will not last long regardless of the respec cost, especially since it seems to apply to other items such as necklaces that provide a damage boost after using a healing relic. As the developer commented, adjustments are on the way.

However, for the time being, Remnant 2's respec cost can literally be dodged frame-perfect. User DafaleHeight commented: "Bro found a way to iframe the tax. As with all bugs like this, it is not a sure thing. I'd make sure you actually want to respec before trying it yourself.
