Increase the number of party members in Baldur's Gate 3 to 8 with this mod!

There is a saying that goes, "Three people gather and you have the wisdom of the wise; four people gather and you have a party. But can four people really have a party?" Four people may be fine for dinner, card games, and wife swapping, but if you want to have a real party, you have to invite more people.

Baldur's Gate 3 allows a total of four characters in the party at a time, but deciding who stays in camp while you run around the world can be a challenge. A mod is now available to change this restricted party structure.

The "Party Limit Begone" mod allows up to 8 adventurers in a party instead of 4. When I tried it out, it did indeed work and was easy to install: just download the mod (requires a free Nexus Mods account if you don't already have one) and unzip the folder into your Baldur's Gate 3 data folder. When you start the game, the launcher will warn you that it has detected that you are using a mod, but you can start the game as is. When you enter the game, first drive one of your friends to camp. Then, add more characters to the party. This will bring the maximum number of people in your party from four to eight. Don't forget that if you don't have seven companions yet, you can have Wizards provide you with hired help to add to your party.

Cons: This mod only works in single-player and not in co-op. Also, keep in mind that Baldur's Gate 3 has only been out for a few days and we don't yet know how the mod will disrupt or corrupt save files, so back up your save files before playing with the mod. Here's how to find the location of your Baldur's Gate 3 save file.
