General
First "Baldur's Gate 3" hotfix addresses more than 150 issues, including a nasty bug in the save game.

"Baldur's Gate 3" had a fairly smooth launch overall. However, no game is bug-free, and Larians' epic RPG is no exception. So today the studio rolled out its first hot fix, which resolves more than 150 "bugs and issues."

One of the rare but annoying bugs revealed earlier today prevents players from saving and loading, which is obviously a major problem in such a large game. Today's hotfix does not fix this problem completely, but it does prevent it from happening any more: according to Larian, the problem is related to cross-saves, since the cross-save feature is not needed until the PlayStation 5 version is released on September 5, They will disable this option completely and fix it in the meantime. They also said that Steam Cloud saves will not be affected.

"Thanks to everyone who took the time to report these issues. As always, if you experience any issues, please contact our support team."

"And please keep showing us Tav and their adventures in The Forgotten World! We have been waiting for your success for a long time.

Please note that the full patch notes contain what seems to me to be a major spoiler: I'm probably the only PC Gamer who is not currently playing "Baldur's Gate 3," but I spent a lot of time with the first two games, so the "implications" here are strongly I feel. Spoilers are covered up in Steam's patch notes, but I'll be cautious and omit them in this article. (I was spoiled about the whole "Yoshimo of Spellhold" thing when "Baldur's Gate 2" was released, and, don't get me wrong, yes, I am still upset about it.)
