If "Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker" will be remembered for anything, it won't be for the fantastic conclusion to a decade-long story. Nor is it the immense popularity that caused Square Enix to cancel sales of the game for a full six weeks to save the already struggling servers from folding completely. Rather, it will be remembered for its beautiful low-poly grape, so rudely "fixed" after its whirlwind run on Eorzea.

The meme about the grapes still persists a year and a half after the release of the expansion, so much so that director and producer Naoki Yoshida even did a quality check of the grapes in Final Fantasy 16. Square Enix, in particular, has immortalized the low-poly grapes as merchandise for the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Las Vegas.

Those attending the festival will be treated to some fantastic Final Fantasy 14-themed gifts, including a 10th anniversary crossbody bag, an adorable carrot-shaped pen with a roport, an Azeem crystal keychain, and a Grevlov magnet. And to top it off, the stress of the "squeezable endwalker grape..." Prismatic." Relieve any lingering stress from the "farm party" with this truly remarkable "Squeezing Endwalker Grapes." If you feel a little low on resolution, grab a squeezing grape and remember what used to be."

I certainly envy the grapes, and the sheer amount of loot is a nice bundle for Eorzea's denizens. It's a nice way to lean into one of the more mainstream memes that are spreading outside of Final Fantasy 14's playerbase, and I'm sure it will come in handy when another Sage who forgets to put up a shield joins a savage raiding party. I'm not talking about experience or anything.

The Las Vegas Fan Festival kicks off next month, and no doubt there will be some big announcements during that event. Whatever the previous expansions have been, the Endwalker lifecycle is already over halfway through, and I have a strong sense that the announcement of a new expansion is imminent. Aside from the new expansion, the game will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the relaunch of A Realm Reborn at the end of August.
