The core specs of this little 15.6-inch gaming laptop are impressive; the Gigabyte G5 may not be the most beastly when it comes to its support specs, but it makes the most of its 144Hz refresh rate panel to gracefully It is definitely capable of handling.

Currently, the Gabyte G5 is only $899 on Newegg, and at such a price, I would not be swayed by the thought of a small upgrade down the road.

Something to consider here is that the G5 comes with only 8GB of RAM, so it is worth considering a memory upgrade when funds are available. But if you can get such a great core combo for under $1,000, that day may come sooner than expected.

And while you wait, you can get the most out of your Gigabyte-packed 12th generation Intel CPU. Alongside its portable current-generation Nvidia GeForce GPU, this is a laptop that won't let you down with native 1080p resolution; you'll even be able to chase down 144fps refresh rates.

That said, you may not be able to play too many games on a 512GB SSD. However, an upgrade would not be too expensive.
