A great new mod for "Fallout: New Vegas" adds a hilarious Psychic Tumbleweed to the game as a party companion... Windy the Wind Brahmin is a Psychic Tumbleweed, and if you have the Wild Wasteland trait It can be purchased from the mutants at Brooks Tumbleweed Ranch.
"You can praise and pet her. When she is in your party, she shoots an unusually sweet psionic mind control beam that may cause enemies' heads to explode when they die. She also has a dozen lines of dialogue related to the main quest," says creator DuncanWasHere. The days of the broken tumbleweed companion mod, which is more annoying and annoying than novelty, are over."
I can only assume this is a (very) deep cut from the mod scene; Windy the Wind-Brahmin can be found at Nexusmods.
The mod contains about 100 lines of Windy's dialogue, apparently even commenting on the main quest. However, the mod creator includes one very ominous warning. Windy is a bad influence and may force you to commit senseless, unspeakably brutal acts of violence against all those around you. Install at your own risk!"
I'm not sure how Windy is different from other Fallout companions, but I'll take the warning anyway. Windy looks dangerous, but there is a screenshot of her wearing a cowboy hat. It helps to distinguish the brown and yellow tumbleweeds from the brown and yellow terrain of New Vegas.
DuncanWasHere writes that it is compatible with "almost everything" from the Fallout: New Vegas files, except for other mods that mess around with unused Wind-Brahmin characters. It's apparently part of the cut content, which, you guessed it, is living tumbleweeds (tumbleweeds).
But John, you ask, why is the tumbleweed's companion named Windy?
