There is no more infuriating way to lose a battle royale match than to get a kill, outmaneuver 148 souls, and carefully maneuver your way to the final circle, only to find yourself alone on the map for some reason when the circle closes completely and you die of poison gas.
Victims of Call of Duty: Warzone 2's worst bugs have been in this predicament of late, stuck in the camps that are Warzone's second chance system, where winning a 1v1 allows you to return to the land of the living, for months. Players have reported this. Players affected by the bug arrive at the camp to await the decisive battle, but the game forgets you are there and you are trapped in Call of Duty purgatory.
You can simply leave the game, but since the game still considers you a living player, you can wait patiently in a comfortable prison cell until your last opponent dies a confusing death in Al-Mazrah.
Several instances of the bug I found actually occurred when two players were stuck in the prison camp at the same time, as if they were matched in a 1vs1 duel that was not supposed to happen. In at least one case, an endurance battle between the two remaining Garage players continued long after everyone on the main map was dead.
"I'm stuck in this random and camp for 15 minutes. Only two of us left in the game," user Matt8992 wrote on Reddit midway through the match. 'He went for a smoke.
It's an annoying encounter for sure, but it could be worse. As far as I know, you can't intentionally induce bugs, so jerks don't go around gleefully ruining Warzone for others. No, that disgrace belonged to the infamous Stim Glitch, an exploit that was most prevalent and frustrated players in Warzone 1, which healed itself infinitely outside the zone.
The stranded camp bug is not as destructive (at least not yet), so it does not appear to be on Activision's radar. It may be some time before this bug is fixed, as it is completely absent from Warzone's official Known Issues Tracker.
