Here are some mods to make the forests of Skyrim nice and dense.

General
Here are some mods to make the forests of Skyrim nice and dense.

In some video games, there are only 2 or 30 trees growing in a "forest." This is too few. Or there are lots of trees, but the spacing between them is very wide, like 20 or 30 feet. Obviously, these forests are all nonsense. We will not discuss forests that are so densely populated with trees that they cannot be traversed except by the main paths that the developers want them to take.

"Skyrim" is a game without good forests because of its advantages. There are too few trees and they are too small. No more! Fabled Forests for Skyrim Special Edition builds on previous mods and provides "tall, dense, FPS-friendly forests where you can get lost."

Modder Kojilama offers two versions: one is a nice, dense forest with tall trees. However, they are not so high that the sun does not shine through the trees. Fabled forests also randomly adjust the size of the trees a bit to add variety to the appearance of the trees.

Another Fabled Forests of Mythic Proportions uses giant, giant-like trees from the North American West Coast to turn forested areas into "dark, inescapable labyrinths." It's a labyrinthine, dark forest at its base. It transforms the area around Riverbend almost beyond recognition.

What I find particularly cool is that this tweak is taken from several other mods. The tree placement is taken from the work of other modders - Traverse the Ulvenwald and Nature of the Wild Lands. The tree models are from Happy Little Trees, but have been redone taller and in deeper shades.

This mod supports the popular mod Seasons of Skyrim, which can change the seasons into very lush forests.

You can find Fabled Forests in Nexusmods. This is also exclusive to Skyrim Special Edition and for Windows.
