After the success of Final Fantasy's Pixel Remasters, Square Enix is considering more older titles

During the Q&A session at Square Enix's 43rd annual shareholders meeting held recently, one shareholder asked the question on everyone's mind. (Aside from the question, "Can you fix a release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy 16 already?"). As VGC found, that shareholder replied, "The Final Fantasy I-VI pixel remasters have been well received. Personally, I want to play Xenogears."

"Final Fantasy I-VI pixel remasters have been well received.

"I will refrain from giving information about new titles," replied one of Square Enix's directors." However, we are considering a number of ideas internally, so please look forward to future announcements."

A vague answer, but when combined with the news earlier this year that the Final Fantasy Tactics team is "incredibly busy at the moment," it is enough to keep the flame of hope burning. Especially when one recalls that the 2021 Nvidia leak included Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered and Final Fantasy 9 Remake. As for Square Enix, the leak was relatively accurate and included subsequently released games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Kingdom Hearts 4, and Chrono Cross Remaster.
