After 2,000 hours of playing "Stardew Valley," one player learned a shocking fact: you can put a stuffed animal to bed.

Code Red, Code Red: You may have chilled your Stardew plush for no reason In a thread on the Stardew subreddit with over 7,000 upvotes, user youkaymelis wrote, "Over 2,000 hours of this game. I've been playing and accidentally discovered that you can put stuffed animals to sleep," he wrote, adding a photo of his discovery.

It was taken with a smartphone, which I can only assume is because they were staggered by the weight of this discovery and temporarily forgot their screenshot key.

According to youkaymelis, they accomplished this adorable feat of engineering by simply placing the teddy on the bed after accidentally missing the stuffed animal's usual spot. NekoHartia user also shared a similar discovery when he realized that he could place his hat on the urchin after logging a similar amount of time.

It has been an exciting year in general for Stardew players after the announcement of an unexpected content update in May; Stardew creator Eric Baron (aka ConcernedApe) is still working on the new "Haunted Chocolatier, which came as a surprise to most.

Being the chaos lover that he is, it's not surprising that he would sneak a few more surprising mechanics into 1.6. That same month he tweeted the words "Iridium Scythe," and Stardew fans went wild, as if it were a sleeper agent's startup phrase.

While this wild discovery won't change the meta of most farmers, it's a much healthier option than cramming 63 spouses into a bed. Next time I return to the valley to relax a bit, I bet I'll keep my stuffed animals warm.
