If Call of Duty: Warzone has been acting sluggish the past few days, it's probably not your PC's fault. Since the Season 4 Reloaded patch released yesterday, players all over the place have been reporting severe performance drops, with many players experiencing frame rate drops of 20-30 fps on Warzone's newest map, Vondel.
"So far I've only played Vondel and I'm getting 40-30 fps. Before the update I was getting 70 fps," Cautious_Incident_46 wrote on the Warzone subreddit.

Players on high end systems seem to have the same problem. One Redditor with a PC (4090, i9 13900KS, 64GB DDR5) luxurious enough to cover my rent for a few months says that since January, Warzone's performance has steadily deteriorated and this week's update is the worst degradation yet.
"With this new patch, there are massive fluctuations between 90-120, down to 100 fps. This is less than that of the current generation of consoles," user bupivacaine wrote." This is absolutely embarrassing: ...... This latest patch has driven the game borderline unplayable on PC"
.
I don't see how running something at over 100 fps can be considered "unplayable," but this is a real problem. This probably falls under a bug rather than an optimization decision, since a similar drop is seen even when the graphics settings are reduced to the lowest.
Thankfully, Warzone's lead studio, Raven Software, is aware of the performance issue and is investigating a solution, according to their official Trello board. until there is a proper fix.
