Nvidia didn't do it, so the redditor made an adorable mini RTX 3060 Founders Edition with a 3D printer.

Redditor Clashmains_2account decided that if Nvidia wasn't going to make a mini-ITX version of the RTX 3060 Founders Edition, they would make their own cute pint-sized GPU.

The modified graphics card is the Gainward RTX 3060 Pegasus, with modifications including a custom shroud and custom heatsink. These components were designed using CAD and 3D printed to mimic the look of the metal casing found on Nvidia Founders Edition GPUs. In addition, Clashmains incorporated a 92mm Noctua fan that closely resembles the one found on the Founders Edition (and provides better cooling).

Sadly, this is a test build, so it is for show rather than overclocking. During testing, Clashmains discovered that the PLA filament used to print the parts began to soften and deform at around 60°C. Additionally, the bits holding the fan in place also began to warp downward at higher temperatures, but the larger printed parts were unaffected during testing.

Clashmains admitted in a Reddit thread that there are some "rough spots" in the project. They stated that they plan to use heat-resistant filaments such as ABS and PETG in future builds, which they hope will keep the 3D printed parts of the custom GPU from deforming or melting.

Nvidia has never released a mini-ITX Founders Editions GPU. It is encouraging to see someone taking a shot at it, and maybe an executive will stumble across this Reddit post and make our dreams come true. Considering this is Clashmains' first 3D printing project, it is commendable.
