The Epic Games Store's Summer 2023 Sale has begun, offering significant discounts and doubling down on the Epic Rewards program, which allows customers to use 10% of their store purchases toward other purchases.

The Epic Rewards program was launched in May as part of the Epic Mega Sale: two weeks after making a qualifying purchase (basically anything purchased in the Epic Store and in-game purchases in Epic games like Fortnite), 5% of the purchase amount is returned to you as an in-store credit. For example, if you purchase a $60 game, you will receive $3 back on your next purchase.

However, during the Summer Sale, that percentage doubles to 10%. This is a significant reduction and applies to all eligible purchases, not just sale items.

However, there are many sale items. For example, FIFA 23 is 75% off at $17.50; Alan Wake Remastered is 60% off at $12; if you haven't played Far Cry 6 yet, the epic shooter is $15; Ghost Recon Wildlands is 80% off at $10, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is also $10, High on Life is half off, and to name a few more out of the ordinary: ...... Necrovision. I used to think it was a pretty cool supernatural WWI shooter, but you can get it for only 50 cents.

As always, do a little comparison shopping on Steam, the Humble Store, and other digital retailers to make sure you're getting the lowest possible price before you shell out. For the record, I took a peek at the above games on Steam, but none of them were on sale.
