Capcom Wants to Know What Resident Evil Remake You Want Next

Capcom has a suggestion: if you remake a Resident Evil game" Capcom's recent online Resident Evil brand survey is filled with the expected questions. Capcom wants to know your age, how long you've been playing RE games, and whether you'd like to interact more with other RE fans (the potential answer to which is a very interesting "nothing could be further from the truth"), but there's one last request at the end: "What other Resident Evil if there is one."

You'd think Capcom would give you a few choices to check off the games they're considering remaking in-house, but instead, you just fill in a blank text box with whatever you like. The 2001 mobile game " Resident Evil Zombie Shooter" in 4K, and you can finally put your campaign for a remake in 4K into action.

But we all know what people are really trying to write there. I would be stunned if "Resident Evil: Code Veronica" wasn't the most popular answer from users to this question.

With remakes from RE2 to RE4 (RE1 was already remade years ago), Capcom seems to have played through the older games in the mainline series, but Code Veronica was originally a side game made for the Dreamcast and is still deeply beloved. It has been updated and remastered several times on consoles, but has never been fully remade or ported to the PC. Fans have been clamoring for a remake for a long time, and it is likely that Capcom's survey would receive the highest number of votes by far. Of course, whether or not Capcom decides to remake the game is another matter.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. In recent years, remaking "Resident Evil 4" has been a fairly lucrative undertaking for Capcom. The "Resident Evil 4" remake sold 3 million copies in two days. For reference, it took a full year for the original "RE4" to sell this many copies. No wonder Capcom is having its best year ever.
