Warzone 2" to Distribute Nuclear Weapons Keys to Everyone Next Week

In Call of Duty, there is no weapon more powerful than the tactical nuke; in 2009's Modern Warfare 2, the nuke was a killstreak earned by getting 25 kills without dying. Like grabbing a golden snitch in Quidditch, but with skin-melting radiation, it took players less than a week to figure out how Infinity Ward brought back the nuke in the battle royale spinoff Warzone 2.

At least, they usually have to: to mark the end of Warzone 2 Season 3 and the arrival of Season 4, Activision temporarily lifted the nuclear weapons quest streak requirement, handing all millions of players the keys to the weapons of mass destruction.

However, don't expect every match to end in a mushroom cloud for the next week. A temporary shortcut will give you access to the nuke quest, but you will have to fight a large number of players and AI to assemble the bomb. The task list for assembling the nuke bomb is called the Champion Quest, which requires squads to run around the map collecting bomb fragments. When you have bomb fragments, they are displayed live on the map, making it especially unlikely that you will have all three before someone steals them.

In addition to the potential disruption this will cause throughout the next week's Warzone, some players who have painstakingly completed the Champions Quest will be upset that the exclusive rewards for obtaining the nukes (operator skins, calling cards, animated emblems) are not so rare and Some are upset that they are no longer available.

"It's so stupid," tallstan12 wrote on the Warzone subreddit, "considering the maximum number of nukes you can get is four attempts, but many players have won five times to complete the deal." Now they just hand them out and you can make unlimited attempts lol"

.

"Just won 5 in a row for the first time last week. I was super excited to go for the nuke tomorrow," user Sybrun replied. 'But now it feels like I've been grinding away at winning for absolutely nothing... This is ridiculous. At least don't reward us."

Actually, that kinda sucks. While the "Call of Duty" community is obsessed with unlocking gun camouflage that proves you've played the game multiple times, the whole point of the nuclear weapon quest is to reward players for doing the hardest possible thing in the game. Even I would wear that cartoon emblem proudly, and would be quite annoyed that anyone could get it.

Ironically, Activision has said that they will activate the Champions Quest for all because the current nuke reward will be gone after season 3 and replaced by a new reward in season 4. It was quite easy to get the old rewards just a few days before they were really unavailable. Too bad, because I would have loved to have seen the old rewards in place.
