The "Uber Lilith" has fallen: Diablo 4's toughest daemon has finally been killed by a hardcore, spinny-winny named Barbarian.

We are very happy to report that Uber-Lilith has fallen. The game's toughest single fight, Diablo 4's pinnacle boss, has been taken down for the first time in hardcore mode by Ben, a Twitch streamer and self-proclaimed "gamer who is just trying to play the game."

The end of the Diablo 4 campaign is not the end of the game; once you've properly handled Lilith, you can continue with live service to get your character to the maximum level of 100. But there is more than just a three-digit character level waiting for you at the end: there is also Echo of Lilith.

Echo of Lilith, aka Uber Lilith, is a very, very powerful version of the base boss, designed to give the game's most skilled and overpowered players something to worry about. to meet Echo of Lilith, win the campaign, and you'll be able to take on the most powerful boss in the game, must have reached World Tier 4, Diablo 4's highest difficulty level; in a pre-release interview with GamesRadar, Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora said the fight is meant to be "extraordinary, extraordinary difficult."

"Players who have reached level 100 will have a very difficult time with this boss fight. And the expectation is that you're taking your class, understanding your build, making the most of everything possible, and learning the encounters really well." And maybe that will be the way you can beat it."

Lest there be any doubt about Piepiora's seriousness, Uber Lillis just finished Udijo's solo Hardcore 100 character yesterday.

But that's not to say that Uber-Lillis can't be beaten: with his vicious and powerful barbarian, Spiny Winnie, he has defeated a mighty demon.

As can be seen in the clip, Ben inflicted tremendous damage in his attack against Lilith, which Wowhead says he likely accomplished by taking advantage of a quirk in the Barbarian's skill Whirlwind.

"Based on the strange mechanics reported repeatedly during the beta, Whirlwind apparently snapshots the damage increase buff of Supreme Wrath of the Berserker, the second upgrade to Wrath of the Berserker It seems to be doing so." By letting Whirlwind flow endlessly immediately after activating Wrath of the Berserker, the buff never wears off, but instead increases damage infinitely in accordance with the Fury expended."

Wowhead added that there could be something else going on to cause the damage boost, like another bug or exploit.

Whatever the explanation, the job was done and Ben apparently had a really good time. 'Diablo's Pinnacle Boss is a heck of a lot of fun,' he tweeted.

"So far, this game has exceeded my expectations, and I feel like D4 actually has great potential if they fix a few things like the density of the DC ripping/NM dungeon and tone down the CC of the monsters."

(BTW, this is a reduction in death by disconnection, monster density in nightmare dungeons (in general, players want more monsters), and the Crowd Control skill, which can slow or stop enemy movement.)

He also offers a bit of insight into how he pulled it off for followers who are trying to emulate this feat:
