Assassin's Creed Mirage will feature a "desaturated blue/gray" mode for those stuck in 2007

Perhaps you missed Assassin's Creed in 2007, AC Mirage will include an optional "desaturated blue/gray" color mode inspired by the first Assassin's Creed.

"We are pleased to announce that Assassin's Creed Mirage will include an optional nostalgic visual filter inspired by the desaturated blue/gray color palette of the first AC game," said Assassin's Creed launch Ubisoft stated on Twitter through an account that was not created until 2009, two more years after the release of "Assassin's Creed".

Finally, the first iPhones arrived, with perfectly tuned visual filters for those nostalgic for life when "The Sopranos" was a new show. If you were enthused by the first "Transformers" film and then played "Assassin's Creed" or "World of Warcraft": If you were enthused by the first "Transformers" film and then played "Assassin's Creed" or "World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade" and thought "everything is great now," Ubisoft has your back.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is a bit of a throwback in general, taking the series back to its Middle Eastern roots for the first time since 2007 and setting aside the open-world RPG elements that began to appear in 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins.Mirage will be more stealth-oriented and narrow in scope, but will focus on characters from the recent Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

"Mirage" was one of the biggest leaked games to drop in Ubisoft's history, and the response has not been bad. I can't wait for Assassin's Creed to be Assassin's Creed again," said Imogen Mellor when we first learned about Mirage. A few would also agree with Ubisoft's comment that the recent "Assassin's Creed" is a little too long for some players.

No doubt we'll see more on Mirage at Ubisoft's showcase on Monday. You can find more details on that in the summer showcase schedule.
