Starfield's skill is "jet pack" and I am thrilled that it is going to be the best battle in Bethesda's history.

Jetpack That damn jetpack directly from "Starfield", just "Jetpack" (or "Boost Pack Training") with its own unique skills. It's been 20 years since Bethesda has allowed you to levitate in a game without a mod, and not that you could do much while levitating in "Morrowind."

Whether or not Starfield's thousands of planets live up to the hype and offer the most open world you've ever seen, I'm more convinced than ever.

Bethesda games have never been good at combat. I don't care what anyone says, it's no fun to swing in and out of the polygonal mass of "Morrowind" for three minutes, but they succeed in being a versatile platform that gives you so many options. The [Elder Scrolls] series always makes you feel like a master thief or assassin."

The sight of a man with a jetpack flying over a pirate base and shooting enemies blew my mind. The gunfights are very similar to "Fallout 4," a little stiff but roughly up to par, but if "Starfield" can deliver on its promise to give you choices and let you embody your own personal alien, it's going to be a well-connected organization. I've only had a cursory understanding of the skill and build systems, but I'm already feeling the familiar character creation anxiety of RPGs.

The fantasy of a jetpack gunslinger beckons, but the Direct also showed me some sneaky melee fighters and vent-climbing antics that really speak to my inner immersive simuliker. My expectations for [Starfield], and the expectations that were really boosted by this trailer, are that it has enough combat potential to be a great RPG."
