Starfield's Premium Edition gets you into the game 5 days early, just like Diablo.

Among the vast amount of information about "Starfield" released at yesterday's online showcase were two special editions of the game. Both are quite expensive (one of them really expensive, but it comes with a watch.

The regular edition of Starfield will cost $70/£60/€70 and will be available on September 6. However, for $100/£86/€100 you can opt for the premium edition and get the following extras in addition to the base game:

If you are a box collector, you can get the premium edition at select retailers, including GameStop and Best Buy. upgrade option, which will give you a Steelbook case and the Constellation patch. This requires a separate purchase of the base game and is technically only available for the Xbox Series X-S version of Starfield, at least, but if you can convince the helpful (or bored enough) clerk at GameStop, you may be able to purchase the PC version instead.

I'm not sure if this is the final cover art, but I kinda like the minimalist look: [The Constellation Edition includes the base game, the Shattered Space expansion, the Constellation Skin Pack, the artbook, the soundtrack

in addition to the base game, the Shattered Space expansion, the Constellation skin pack, the artbook, and the soundtrack. The Constellation Edition clock is not a communication device and does not support touch screens.

Here is what was posted on yesterday's Starfield Direct.

Aside from the additions, both primo packages will allow you to play Starfield up to 5 days earlier than the normal release date.

What I find interesting is this part: I know we've been waiting a long time for Starfield, but Bethesda RPGs are notoriously buggy upon release. This is especially true in single-player games, where you can't even rub your elite, freely available status in the face of whatever the equivalent of Starfield's "naked mare" is.

As someone with a 1/6th scale Terror Billy standing behind me, I understand it from a collector's perspective, and it looks like a pretty sweet watch. But as far as jumping the gun early, I'd rather save a few bucks and let someone else clean out the bugs first for me.
