A very specific quirk, but an interesting one: when Google searches for terms related to Sega's "Mega Drive" game console, it spits out results related to "Genesis" from Wikipedia, the Holy See website, and the band "Genesis."

Google seems to have detected that Sega's "Mega Drive" game console of the late 80s was known as the "Sega Genesis" in North America, and is using Mega Drive and Genesis interchangeably. However, as Twitter user CaptainBalkon discovered, a search for the specific term Genesis (Genesus?)

"Book of Megadrive" (Megadrive, oddly enough, must all be one word) results in the first page Wikipedia page for Genesis, and the web page for the Holy See of Scripture appears. However, as other users have experimented with this phenomenon, it can spit out all sorts of interesting results.

If you enter megadrive dance as a search term, the search engine spits out the song "I Can't Dance" by Genesis.

It is well known that Google's search results are not perfect, but this odd quirk is especially amusing because Google's efforts to make its search engine more useful to users is clearly going haywire. whether Google will really fix this problem or not, I have my doubts I am very curious to see if they will continue to spread good rumors to Sonic fans who don't know any better.
