Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection was uploaded to Steam, but it showed no mouse & keyboard support and disappeared after 30 minutes.

PCGamesN first reported that the PC port of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection will not ship with mouse and keyboard support. Prior to its removal, the Steam pages for all three games in Metal Gear Solid Volume 1 stated that they were gamepad-only.

According to SteamDB, the page was removed just 30 minutes after it was published on June 21; on June 23, the official Metal Gear Twitter account issued a statement saying that they were "currently working on getting the pre-order page live" and would "release page details as soon as possible."

Steam.

It is unclear why the Steam page was removed, as the game's official release date is still October 24. Metal Gear fan account LordEmmerich took a screenshot of the page before it went dark, including a note for each game stating, "A controller is required to play. Keyboard and mouse play is not supported. [The original, underrated PC ports of MGS 1 and MGS 2: Subsistence were both keyboard-controlled, but most of the guide to running the game focuses on making it work with a gamepad. It's probably a lazy move that leaves the "Mere Old Man" feeling a bit frustrated, but it's somewhat understandable. Games are made with the gamepad in mind, and these days, even the most ardent mouse-and-keyboard gamer carries a spare gamepad like John Wick carries a rifle in his old ankle holster.

I am confused as to why the page was removed. All of the explanations I can think of seem plausible, but I can't seem to make sense of it. If the notice about keyboard support was in error, why not address that directly?" I'll be keeping an eye on Konami's official channel to see if the Master Collection will reappear on Steam.
