Finally, a nice normal wordle. Every letter is one step closer to the answer, so much so that there was only one reasonable choice left after the first two times... Wordle is really simple...

One who steals another's property could be called the answer of the day. The word is also the title of an excellent 1998 PC game by Looking Glass Studios.

There are no repeated letters in today's vocabulary.

A good start can make the difference between winning or losing a daily puzzle. There is nothing like a small victory to enhance the rest of your day:

There is no race against time in Wordle, so there is no need to rush through the answers. Treating the game like a casual newspaper crossword is also a good way to go. Leaving for a while may be the difference between winning and losing.

"I don't know" No problem; the answer to the April 14 (664) Wordle is THIEF.

Past wordle answers give great ideas for fun starting words to keep the daily puzzle solving fresh. It is also a good way to eliminate guesswork for today's Wordle, since the same answers are unlikely to be repeated.

Here are some recent Wordle answers:

Wordle offers five boxes in six columns each day, so to keep the winning streak going, you need to find the secret five-letter word hidden in them.

You should start with a strong word like ARISE (open in a new tab) or any other word with a good mix of common consonants and multiple vowels. You also do not want to start a word with repeated letters. Pressing the Enter key will tell you which one is right or wrong, because you will waste the chance to delete or check the extra letters. If the box goes to ⬛️, it means that the character is not in the secret word.

The second guess should complete the starting word, using another "good" word to cover the common letters missed in the previous guess, while avoiding the letters that we now know for sure are not present in today's answer. With luck, a few colored squares will be created and you will be on the right track.

Then it is just a matter of using what you have learned to narrow down the correct words. You can try six times in all, and you can only use actual words (you cannot fill in the box with EEEEE to see if there is an E). Letters may be repeated (e.g. BOOKS).

Originally, Wordle was invented by software engineer Josh Wardle (opens in new tab) as a surprise for his partner, who liked word games. From there it spread to his family and was finally released to the public. This word puzzle game then became a tremendous inspiration for games like Wordle (opens in new tab), which focused its daily gimmicks on music, math, and geography It wasn't long before Wordle became so popular that it was sold to the New York Times for a seven-figure price! (opens in new tab). Surely it is only a matter of time before all of us will be communicating only within the Tricolor box.
