There was a time when the most complex device in Rainbow Six Siege was a heartbeat-detecting iPad, and CS:GO players who fled Siege after being spotted through the walls in 2015 would run away if they knew what was possible in 2023.Siege's latest attacker, the Brava has made it impossible for me to even believe that I won't be killed by my own Claymore.

One example is the utterly ridiculous clip (opens in new tab) by Reddit user DansomeWoja, who manages to kill an enemy without even firing a shot or being in the same room. DansomeWoja, playing defender Mozzie, kills an opposing Brava player with a drone. However, the drone itself does not deliver the killing blow: Mozzie uses it to hack the claymore and detonate it. That drone is not Mozzie's, either. That is actually Brava's drone!

Rainbow Six Siege is wild: the new kit Brava brings to Siege is the Kludge drone, a boxy radio-controlled car with the unique ability to hack and steal defender gadgets for the team from a distance. She can switch the allegiance of everything from cameras, healing bots, traps, and other drones. This alone makes Kludge an incredibly powerful gadget in theory, but its usefulness depends on its ability to be driven without taking a bullet (or worse) on the battlefield.

This "something worse" is where Mozzie comes in: on the defensive side, Mozzie can capture the attacker's drones with a small robotic facehugger (opens in new tab) and steal them for the defending team. Mozzie captures one of Brava's Kludge drones If he succeeds in doing so, he gains a power usually reserved for Brava: switching the loyalty of the attacker's gadget:

This is my way of telling you that Ubisoft's star FPS is still full of surprises as it enters its eighth year and welcomes its 67th new operator. Some days I wish I could go back to the days when "Siege" was a low-tech tactical shooter and didn't have to bother with outlandish gadgets like Arni's laser gate or Iana's hologram, but the more "Siege" leans toward a gadget-centric meta, the more "Apex Legends and Valorants (both games that borrowed heavily from Siege to design their own rosters).

I really love the Brava I've seen so far, and I think her and Mozzie's rivalry will produce more of these delicious exchanges. I think what you witnessed today will either make you never want to experience Siege's unarmed infantry cat-and-mouse shadow war again, or make you want to install the game right now and try to replicate this. I am definitely the latter.

Brava is currently playable on Siege's technical test server, but she will join the real roster when Operation Command Force launches on March 7.
