Humble Bundle has prepared a large package of games and comics (opens in new tab) to support relief efforts in Chulkiye and Syria following last month's devastating earthquake. The Chulkiye-Syria Earthquake Relief Bundle (opens in new tab) includes Ghostrunner, Pathfinder: Ghostrunner, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Payday 2, XCOM 2, Euro Truck Sim 2, and 64 others. Also included are several Starfinder TTRPG books and all 10 volumes of the popular "Saga" graphic novel series. All games are redeemable via Steam.
The bundle will run until March 8 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m./7 p.m. PT. It will cost $30/£24.92 (or more) to get them all, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to three charities working on relief efforts in Chulkiye and Syria: Direct Relief, International Medical Corp. and Save the Children. As of this writing, nearly 23,000 bundles have been sold, raising $736,959/£611,014 for relief efforts in the affected areas.
The collection of games is so vast that it's hard to decide which ones specifically to mention, but I'll venture a guess. The games in this bundle that live rent-free in my head are XCOM 2, Euro Truck Sim 2, and System Shock 2 (I guess I'm a sucker for sequels.) XCOM 2 is a broad, wild, highly customizable turn-based tactical game by Firaxis in which you overthrow an alien occupation that is oppressing the Earth. System Shock 2" is an undeniable classic of the immersive sim game genre: the game that laid the groundwork for the later "BioShock. And "Euro Truck Sim 2" is a game that simulates trucking in Europe. Second time. It's very relaxing.
Not every game is a winner, at least in my view; "Gotham Knights" (open in new tab) was only released a few months ago, but the lackluster response suggests that Warner Bros. is already practically happy to let it go. Similarly, I can't personally vouch for the quality of The Last from Beyond: the M edition is a sanitized PG version of one of the more ambitious erotic games on Steam.
But it's still pretty unbeatable, and for a good cause. So here's the full list of games available for $30.
