General
AMD has effectively announced a $100 price reduction for the RX 7900 XT.

AMD announced that it will bundle "The Last of Us Part 1" (opens in new tab) with all Radeon RX 7000 and RX 6000 series cards, as well as increase the competitiveness of Nvidia's RTX 4070 Ti (opens in new tab) and RX 7900 XT (opens in new tab), the company announced a price drop for the RX 7900 XT (opens in new tab).

The graphics card market has been heating up lately, with Nvidia's RTX 40 series cards hitting the market and AMD's new RX 7000 GPUs launching with modest fanfare. However, our Best Graphics Cards (open in new tab) list is still overflowing with the RX 6000 series. The reason [for example, the tremendous MSRP of $1,199 for the RTX 4080 (open in new tab), AMD's competitive edge in this new generation is GPU pricing.

That was true until Nvidia released the RTX 4070 Ti. Now AMD has announced that the price of the RX 7900 XT will be reduced to £799.99 in the UK and $799.99 in the US at participating retailers/retailers.

With a $100 discount at many retailers, manufacturers such as ASRock and Sapphire are offering the RX 7900 XT for just $799, down from an MSRP of $899. The same goes for our UK brethren, who can now get the second best RDNA 3 graphics card for a £100 discount.

For a GPU that completely trumps AMD's previous generation of top Radeon cards, the RX 6950 XT (open in new tab), especially when the RX 7900 XTX (open in new tab) offers so much more for $999, AMD is offering a top-down discount Great to see.

Currently, we find Newegg selling the ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT for $800 (opens in new tab), and across the pond, Overclockers UK is offering the Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT Gaming for £800 (opens in new tab).

Exchange rates aside, this is a great discount coming directly from AMD itself. We are told that this promotion will last until April 15, 2023. Or perhaps until they are all sold out. Either way.
