Shodan is in his usual good form, and instead of being able to beat Shodan in March, we will have to wait until the end of May for a system shock. The bloody AI is ruining our good time.
This postponement is not that surprising. It's already well past March, and there has been no word from Night Dive about a release date since some point this month. The developer's hesitation made a postponement seem almost inevitable.
"We had hoped to have the game on the market by the end of March," Nightdive announced (open in new tab), "but it turned out to be beyond our reach.
Nightdive unfortunately did not elaborate further on the cause of the delay, but hopefully this couple of month extension will ensure a smooth launch.
Thankfully, we've already seen quite a bit of System Shock thanks to Nightdive releasing a demo. A new demo was released at the last Steam Next Fest and is conveniently still available (opens in new tab).
While we wait for the new release date of May 30, how about bullying one of the annoying AI chatbots to get ready for the first round? Call ChatGPT to the cock and blow off some steam. But beware: Shodan will not be defeated by salty language.
