If you're looking for a new graphics card and plan to play The Last of US Part I when it launches on PC on March 28, there are some outrageous deals to be had.
AMD is bundling the game with all Radeon RX 6000 and 7000 series graphics cards, and The Last of US Part I is currently available for pre-order on Steam for $60 in the US and £50 in the UK, making it a real bargain!
Specifically, the game is available for $60 in the US and £50 in the UK.
Specifically, if you were going to purchase The Last of US, you could purchase the RX 6700 XT 12GB for $290 from Newegg (opens in new tab). This GPU is currently on sale at Newegg for $350, and Newegg is one of the retailers participating in this promotion.
If this is a bit rich, how about the RX 6600 XT 8GB for $215 real (open in new tab)? This is the kind of GPU price we've been waiting for for years. Of course, you can also go higher up the AMD stack. For example, the RX 6800 XT is actually $505 (opens in new tab).
Inevitably, the $60 discount becomes less significant as you move up the graphics hierarchy. Nevertheless, if you don't mind a card on backorder, the RX 7900 XT is $740 for the bundle (opens in new tab), which is $160 less than the original MSRP just a few months ago.
Back in the UK, the 6700 XT is selling a bit at Overclockers, one of the participating stores, and the board is sold out, probably because of this bundle. There is only one option available for pre-order, priced at £310 (opens in new tab); the 6650 XT is £240 (opens in new tab), the other 6800 XT is £540 (opens in new tab), and the 7900 XT is £750 (opens in new tab).
So, while not as high as in the U.S., these are the best prices in the U.K. in years, and AMD's website (opens in new tab) has a list of participating retailers by region and by country.
In any case, the value proposition here depends on whether you were planning to purchase The Last of Us Part I at full price at launch. If so, then the "effective" price for these would be roughly equal to what you would pay for the GPU. If you are looking for a lower priced card, we suggest you jump on this product. This is the best graphics deal we have seen in a long time.
