It lacks some of the features of the newer monitors, and has HDMI 2.0 and VGA (remember those?). It might be tempting because it is cheaper, but I would opt for the newer, more versatile version.

The only downside to the UltraGear is that colors tend to be slightly oversaturated, especially when adjusted for HDR. The implementation of HDR and the overwhelming dimming zones do not bode well for the monitor, so turning it off is recommended. This also means that the best black levels will not be obtained.

Aside from that, you are getting a speedy and great looking 4K gaming monitor at a good price. The Amazon price for this display was just recently $897.
