Save over $900 on RTX 4090-equipped gaming desktops

It's been a while since we've seen a good deal on an RTX 40 series desktop, let alone an RTX 4090 GPU. But here it is: Dell is selling the RTX 4090-powered Aurora R15 gaming desktop for $3,299 (open in new tab), more than $900 below the regular price.

$3,300 is a heck of a lot of money, but a really good price for a 4K gaming rig.

This beast of a PC is powered by a 13th generation Intel Core i9 13900F CPU with an RTX 4090 GPU and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. That means it should be able to play games like "Resident Evil 4 Remake" (open in new tab) in 4K and achieve phenomenal frame rates with all graphics features turned on. The RTX 4090 (opens in new tab) is a highly clocked and powerful 4K gaming GPU that, when incorporated into games that support Nvidia's frame rate generation technology, DLSS 3, if you have a high refresh rate 4K gaming monitor (opens in new tab) that can handle the task, eye candy at high speeds.

Again, this is not a "cheap" system, but it is the best price we have seen for an RTX 4090 system, given that the GPU sells for almost $2000 on its own on some retail sites.

1TB SSD NVMe storage is a good starting point, but I would add another 1TB with the money saved. Some of the best NVMe SSDs (open in new tab) are not cheap, and let's face it, 1TB fills up faster than you think.

The only downside is that the motherboard is a bit old, albeit with DDR5 support. If you want to upgrade to Intel's new Raptor Lake CPUs, you will need to invest in a B760 motherboard or similar.
