Madmind Studio, developer of hellish horror games like "Agony," has removed one of its upcoming releases from Steam: the "Succubus: Hell Orgy VR" page has been removed and appears only on SteamDB (open in new tab).

"Some features available in the VR version are too disturbing and immersive to release on Steam," the Madmind press release stated. It does not state which features led to the ban, only that "Valve banned the game for its drastic content" and that "Steam decided to ban the game without giving us the ability to change/patch/censor it."

Madmind previously danced on the edge of what Steam allowed by releasing "unrated" versions of games as free DLC. For example, Succubus - Unrated (opens in new tab) lists the following as additional adult-only content:

"Succubus VR" included a feature from the "Unrated" DLC that involved ripping a fetus from a pregnant woman and eating it to regain hit points, which may have led to its removal. Meanwhile, "Agony VR" (opens in new tab) remains on Steam, with a release date of tomorrow, at least for now; Madmind says it plans to release "Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR" on other platforms.
