Design your dream gaming setup based on the discomfort of your actual gaming setup

I don't know about your personal gaming setup, but I have many complaints about my setup. I have an unnecessarily large PC crammed under a small desk, which sometimes causes me to hit my knees on the corners of the case. My two old monitors are at different heights, and one has to be angled at a less than ideal angle. There is a shelf within reach, but instead of being lined with paperbacks and colorful figurines, it is crammed with unopened mail, charging cables that growl angrily, and coffee mugs that I forgot to put back in the kitchen.

It's not cozy, but with My Dream Setup, at least I can sit at my cluttered, uncomfortable desk and design the gaming lair I've always wanted.

Released on February 20 and with a free trial available this week, this chill little design sim lets you adjust room sizes, place windows and doors, paint and wallpaper the walls, and more. You can also choose furniture such as beds, chairs, and lamps, install shelves and fill them with miscellaneous items, and hang paintings and posters. You can place a desk and decorate it with PC hardware while listening to the game's pleasant soundtrack or your own music player.

You can even create your own little living room or bedroom, but with the emphasis on gaming, you can give everything a pleasant electronic glow with a variety of monitors, PCs, keyboards, mice, and even RGB strips. Decorate your desk with all kinds of accessories, including microphones, headsets, controllers, and that giant curved monitor you've always wanted but haven't bought yet. You can even add an arcade cabinet to the room to create the perfect gaming retreat.

My Dream Setup has lots of nice detailed settings, including turning monitors and lights on and off, changing the light and color of PC fans, and repainting most items. You can even change the time of day and even the weather, so you can watch the light streaming in through the windows as daylight or a soothing evening shade, rain speckling the glass or snow falling silently outside your perfect little pad.

I tried it, and while my room didn't turn out as nice as theirs, I was still quite pleased. Below you can see my room and some official screenshots. The demo version only has access to some of the decorating options in the full game, but there are still plenty of elements that I can (hopefully) comfortably play with on my desk.
