The release date for "Wild Hearts" in your time zone and the start date of the EA Play First trial are listed below.

"Wild Hearts" is EA and Koei Tecmo's take on "Monster Hunter." You smash a huge mythical beast with a giant sword, then use parts of its body to make an even better sword to smash your friends with. Isn't nature beautiful?

Wild Hearts launches today, February 13, but with a caveat: only EA Play subscribers will have Early Access; everyone else will have to wait until February 13 for the full release. And that full version will also vary by time zone and platform. It's a bit complicated, so here's what you need to know to jump into Wild Hearts as soon as possible.

Wild Hearts will be released for EA Play subscribers on February 13 at 7 a.m. PT (3 p.m. UTC); it will be available simultaneously on both PC and consoles.

However, the full game will not be accessible; the February 13 release is merely a trial of EA Play First, available to those who pay $5 per month (or $30 per year) for an EA Play subscription or are Game Pass Ultimate members The Play First trial allows players to play the first part of "Wild Hearts" and arrive in Minato, the city where the game is based. Exploring the opening zone takes several hours, but the mission to reach Minato can be completed in an hour or two.

The EA Play First Trial will be available at the following times:

Wild Hearts will be released on PC on February 16 at 7:00 am PT. This is the exact same time as the trial version above, just three days later.

However, the console version of Wild Hearts will have a different release time, at midnight on February 17 in each time zone. That means you can play it as soon as midnight hits in your time zone. This means that lucky Australian players will be able to play much earlier than other time zones. Let's not hold it against them when they party up for the hunt.
