Last week, during a live stream on Intel's Insider Discord (opens in new tab), Arc Graphics technology and marketing executive Zach Hill revealed a secret project. It turns out that he is a huge Lego enthusiast and is designing a full-scale Intel Arc A750 (opens in new tab) GPU model in BrickLink Studio.

Hill's Intel Arc A750 LEGO design was discovered by our sister site Toms' Hardware (opens in new tab). How could we not be excited?

The project has taken about 6 months to get this far and is almost complete with about 500-600 pieces to date. Some tweaking is needed to complete the design, but the most eye-catching issue right now is the sticker, which actually says Intel Arc A770 (opens in new tab).

Nevertheless, this is a very impressive piece of engineering and even includes moving parts. The rotating fan is made from a steering wheel, each of which has 15 Lego meat cleavers attached to it.

Hill notes, "If you rotate this, you can probably generate turbulence, but I wouldn't say it moves air, because this whole interior is not set up to flow air, like a real GPU."

Sadly, as discussed in the stream, there was no space for an RGB lighting kit to make the Lego Ark A750 glow. Sadly, not even Lego's own lighting kit would have fit, unless Hill had completely removed the exact scale of the model.

"The last time I priced it out (which is also incomplete), it was about $100 or $120 a piece. So you're spending almost half the price of a GPU to get a plastic version that doesn't run games."

Already receiving great support from fans, people are pushing Hill to enter the design into the LEGO Ideas program (open in new tab); with 10,000 votes, it won't take long for LEGO to make the kit a reality, but Hill says, "The prizes and such are not planned yet, but we will certainly put together some instructions, including an inventory."

In other words, Lego may not make an official Lego Ark A750, but a list of parts will be available soon. However, you will have to go to LEGO Pick-a-Brick (opens in new tab) to find and get each and every single part. Ouch.
