At $300 off, the RTX 3060 Ti-powered rig is the perfect gaming PC to start the week.

It's been a while since I've heard of a super cheap gaming PC deal (opens in new tab). And just when I was worried, as if they heard my cries, this Katana X10 gaming desktop is on sale at Newegg (opens in new tab) for $1082. PC gaming deals are back.

An Intel Core i5 CPU and RTX 3060 Ti GPU combo keeps Katana sharp, along with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. This combination delivers excellent 1080p performance even at high settings, and DLSS (open in new tab) will be your strong ally as it will pull a couple of extra frames out of supported games.

The Intel Core i5 11400F (open in new tab) is one of the best 11th generation desktop CPUs for gaming. It punches above its class in terms of performance, and at this point in time, it's priced to keep the price down. The RTX 3060 TI (opens in new tab) is the most underrated of the RTX 30 series GPUs. Frankly, it's surprising to see pre-builds with this GPU, as it was hard to find when it was first released; in addition to being the best value among the RTX 30 series cards, this GPU is also capable of 4K gaming, which puts it well ahead of the RTX 3060.

That said, gaming at 1080p on the RTX 3060 Ti should give you surprisingly solid frame rates, especially if you upgrade from the RTX 20 series. Even at 1440p, especially if you upgrade from the RTX 20 series, you should still be able to get good performance.

In addition, Newegg is offering a free copy of Marvel's Midnight Suns (opens in new tab) to all purchasers.

The only downside is storage; if you can cram your favorite games (and that much) onto a 500GB SSD, it may not be a big problem, but you will eventually need more storage. Inexpensive SSDs are all over the place, so the next planned upgrade (open in new tab) should be down the road.
