Invisible Man Rampages in "Escape from Tarkov" - "What an Absolute Circus"!

Battlestate Games' "Escape from Tarkov" has reintroduced a persistent bug in its latest update. To be honest, in a game where you have to hide and shoot to avoid being spotted, this bug has some pretty drastic consequences.

This issue has been the topic of various threads, tweets, and forum posts since the latest update. That-Hurry-3318 writes (opens in new tab), "In every raid you encounter invisible teammates and enemies."

The majority of player reports say it is happening in Scavs, one of the two ways players enter Tarkov's zone (basically Scavs enter with low tier gear and try to beat up PMCs that are doing missions), and many players are noticing it happening with their teammates as well." Just yesterday I was going to drop a tank bat on a scav homie for a quest." LowRezDragon writes (opens in new tab).

This is an actual example of a bug, this player realizes he is invisible and is trying to see if other players can see or hear him.

The target player's immediate reaction to invisibility was particularly amusing: "I'm hit. (open in new tab) You can find other examples of glitches (open in new tab) on social media (open in new tab).

"What a circus," wrote Comprehensive_Fee_23 (opens in new tab)." On my first raid since the update, my duo can't see me. I ended up fighting another duo in a spawn off on the shoreline and dropped both of them, but I couldn't see the bodies. I spent 25 minutes looking for the bodies and even though I knew 100% that I had killed them, they were nowhere to be found."

This is obviously not good, but developer Battlestate Games has so far remained silent on the issue, dropping a hotfix four days ago that "fixed a visual bug in Streets of Tarkov," but it was not an invisibility bug It does not appear to be. I will update if there are any comments.

Still, at least some PMCs are able to maintain their sense of humor in these difficult times. "I've never seen this 'transparent' Tarkov player," said PistolPetePR (opens in new tab). 'I've died, but I've never seen it.'
