World of Warcraft's Trading Post launches, offering free cash to buy most stocks

World of Warcraft's Trading Post (opens in new tab) opened its doors today (it's a stall, so it doesn't actually have doors) and is letting citizens of Orgrimmar and Stormwind do a little shopping. The trading post sells cosmetic items, previously only available for real cash, and will be updated monthly.

The good news is that just logging in and having a quick look around the store will give you enough Trader's Tender, the new currency, for all but a few expensive items.

Those who have the Dragonflight expansion can get 500 Trader's Tenders just by entering the game, which can be found in a treasure chest next to the store. These 500 Trader's Tenders can be obtained simply by entering the game. This means that there are 1,000 traders' tenders in the chest.

This is still enough money, but you can earn even more by adding one more step. For this quest, simply talk to an NPC and read the notes posted on the Trading Post. The reward is 500 Trader's Tender. [75 From the flashy pink cloak you can buy for Trader's Tender to the flashy Celestial Steed for 900.

If you shop from the bottom up, you'll probably get 10 of the 15 items. Naturally, you will be happier with the more expensive items, but even if you have enough money to buy Celestial Steed, you will not be able to get the next most expensive item, the Fury of the Firelord weapon cosmetics (750 Trader's Tender).

Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to make a little more money. The new store has its own progression system, where travel points are earned by completing various objectives across six categories: dragon flights, dungeons and raids, holidays and events, pet battles, professions, PvP, quests, and finally special objectives That's right: for every 200 points you earn, you get 100 Trader's Tenders. Fill up your bar and you will unlock the last 100 Trader's Tenders plus bonus rewards.

I am quite happy with Trading Post, as unlocking nice cosmetics has become the main reason I play MMOs.

However, there seem to be some issues, and I was kicked out of the store as I write this; on Battle.net, Blizzard is notifying players that Trading Post is "temporarily unavailable". It appears that they will have to wait a little longer to use their free cash.
