Powerwash Sim's upcoming DLC hoses down Final Fantasy 7's filthy bosses for thousands of PSI

Following the "Tomb Raider" expansion, the "Powerwash Simulator" (opens in new tab) will now also receive "Final Fantasy 7" DLC. Announced via Square Enix's Twitter (opens in new tab), the DLC allows you to take your powerwash weapon to Midgar and clean up various familiar landscapes. It's not much, but it's an honest job.

No release date for this DLC has been set yet, and the official Japanese Final Fantasy 7 Day event (opens in new tab) is already over. We may get the thrill of high-pressure washing Cloud's bike, Tifa's bar, and the aforementioned Guard Scorpion. Like the Tomb Raider pack, it's set to be free, giving you access to one of the wonders of the world.

The "Tomb Raider" add-on for the "Powerwash Simulator" (opens in new tab) was released on January 31 and is surprisingly robust, adding five Croft-themed maps and a variety of small items to polish off. It was a loving tribute to decades of Tomb Raider history, even if it was covered in filth, and there were plenty of little jokes and nostalgic nods that would make fans giggle, and I suspect the FF7 DLC will be the same way, with the addition of a few new maps, a few new characters, a few new characters, and a few new characters, and I'm sure the DLC will be just as good. Frankly, if "Powerwash Sim" is going to be a hose-down homage to an iconic game series from the past, I'm all for it.

There are several Powerwashheads on the PCG staff. Guide writer Sarah James chose it as her personal GOTY last year (opens in new tab) and praised the stress-relieving qualities of making dirt disappear with high pressure, while Rachel Watts went back to 2020 and waxed lyrical about the bizarre power fantasies that accompany an arsenal of high pressure washing equipment She spoke of (opens in new tab). Cleanliness is next to godliness.

The FF7 DLC for the Powerwash Simulator will be released. Until then, you can enjoy the free Tomb Raider expansion on Steam (opens in new tab) and the Microsoft Store (opens in new tab).
