EA's "Monster Hunter" like has no plans for microtransactions and all post-launch content will be free.

In an Ask Me Anything on Reddit this week, the developers of "Wild Hearts" said they already have post-launch updates planned, and they will all be free.

"All post-launch content will be free! We have no plans to feature MTX," they said in response to one of the most frequently asked questions at the AMA.

The "beasts" are the jumbo-sized monsters from "Wild Hearts," and the action game is clearly designed with Capcom's "Monster Hunter" in mind. The recent "Monster Hunter: World" and "Monster Hunter: Rise" added monsters and quests for free for months without charging for certain battles. While "Monster Hunter Rise" offers more than 200 cosmetic DLCs, Koei Tecmo, the developer of "Wild Hearts," says it has no plans to offer microtransactions. Nevertheless, with millions of players and a series known for its replayability, selling a little DLC is an easy task.

"No plans" does not mean, of course, that future DLC will not happen, and if it is a hit, like last year's "Monster Hunter Rise: Sun Break," a paid expansion for "Wild Hearts" is likely to appear.

Some other details from the Wild Hearts AMA:

Wild Hearts will be released on February 17.
