Multiplayer Comes to Disney's Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley has released its roadmap for the first half of 2023. Gameloft did not elaborate on what kind of co-op or online multiplayer DDV will feature, but listen up because it's right there in this year's plans.

Whether or not DDV will have multiplayer was a bit of a personal concern last year. When I inquired with Gameloft, I got an answer that was basically a Jedi sleight of hand. But apparently patience prevails. I have no doubt that some form of multiplayer will happen at some point this year.

Importantly, we still don't know the specifics of what we will be able to do with multiplayer in Dreamlight Valley. Beyond that, we will have to wait and see.

As for a more specific part of the roadmap, Gameloft has teased some new characters we can expect this year: the February update will feature Encanto's Mirabelle and Frozen's Olaf, along with Disney's 100th anniversary-themed Starpass The April update will feature Simba and the Disney Parks Starpass. An early summer update is likely to bring the Prince and Princess together.

Dreamlight Valley is still in Early Access and was named best Early Access game in PC Gamer's 2022 Game of the Year. As features and characters continue to be added for the full release, we'll be here to play and help you find your way to get Buzz and Woody, unlock Stitch, and find quests to upgrade your royal gear.
