Valve announced in September 2022 that it would discontinue its Lunar New Year sale (open in new tab) and add a massive New Year's sale in its place. However, gamers were not left out of the January doldrums entirely: the Lunar New Year Sale has ended, but the Lunar New Year Sale (open in new tab) is currently underway.

The Lunar New Year Sale, as you might expect, focuses on Chinese game developers and publishers. While it is smaller than previous Chinese New Year sales, there is still plenty to look through. Here are a few:

Some of the games on sale, such as "Swords and Fairies 7," "FIST," and "Ballads of Hongye," also have demos so you can get a feel for what the game is like before you pay for it.
