Keke Palmer has become the most relatable player in Sims 4 history.

General
Keke Palmer has become the most relatable player in Sims 4 history.

To be honest, I'm a sucker for celebrities who are big gamers. Whether it's Terry Crews building his own gaming PC or Chloe Grace Moretz asking for tips on building a desktop (opens in a new tab), the sight of big-name celebrities indulging in their geeky hobbies appeals straight to my heart. But Keke Palmer's dramatic Sims 4 play will be relatable to anyone who has ever played the game.

Multiple clips of Palmer, an actress known for her roles in the films "Nope" and "The Hustler" and the Nickelodeon show "True Jackson VP," playing "The Sims 4" are available on social media. She has been entertaining for hours, showing her play on Instagram Live. Her dramatic narration is iconic, spinning elaborate relationship issues with brief breaks while each sim goes to take a leak between arguments.

What caught my attention, and that of many other regular simmers, was the extent to which Keke's Sims games are decorated with custom content and mods. In particular, "Wicked Whims" is a rather spicy mod that adds nudity, sex animations, and adjustable options regarding pregnancy, STDs, and menstruation. It's kind of a "pearl-clutching" addition to the game, but has become an incredibly common add-on among the adult sims community.

She also reveals that she has other mods in one life, such as Basemental Drugs, Dynamic Teen Life, and Homebody. I am so embarrassed that Keke has more mods installed than I do. She seems to be a big fan of Alpha CC (I'm more of a Maxis Match guy) and had the classic Mac problem (opens in new tab) of her sims "looking funny after taking a shower" with her various CCs... Mac Shimmer, I feel your pain. I do, Keke.

She even shared some programs that helped her clean up her CC in a follow-up tweet. (opens in new tab) She recommended Tray Importer, Sims4Studio, and Better Exceptions, which helped her get rid of her bad CC and pesky mods.

If Keke's iconic playthrough has inspired you to try Sims 4 for yourself, now is a great time to get started with the series: the base play fee went free in October, and some of the best expansion packs (opens in new tab) recommendations that will further enhance your Sims 4 experience Here are some of our recommendations for the best expansion packs (open in new tab) to enhance your Sims 4 experience.
