General
A "deep dive" showcase for Starfield will be held, but that will be after this month's Xbox/Bethesda Livestream.

Microsoft will host an Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct live stream on January 25, giving fans the latest information on games such as Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends (opens in new tab), The Elder Scrolls Online (opens in new tab), Redfall (opens in new tab), and more, giving fans the latest information on games such as.

The astute among you may have noticed that Bethesda's upcoming game treasure "Starfield" (opens in new tab) is not included in this list. The bad news is that "Starfield" is not on the list. The good news is that Microsoft and Bethesda are working on a standalone Starfield show and are "taking the appropriate time to dig deep."

I appreciate that they are putting their all into Starfield, but it's still a bit disappointing to not even get a teaser to remind us later that, yes, this is still happening, and that we are actually pretty close. Maybe this is just clever expectation management, or maybe Todd Howard will make the bones to properly focus our attention just before the curtain falls. Anything is possible.

(In case you forgot, there is no release date for "Starfield" yet. We expect it to be released in the first half of 2023, though.)

Anyway, here's what we have:

The live stream of the Developer Direct will begin on January 25th at 12pm PT / 3pm ET. More details about the event will be shared through Xbox and Bethesda's social media channels leading up to the event.
