Hitman 3 was good enough to be named the best stealth game of 2021 (opens in new tab), but as we noted in our Newcomer's Guide (opens in new tab), the various purchase options were also incredibly confusing. That will change on January 26, when IO Interactive will combine the whole thing into one big package called "Hitman: World of Assassination" (opens in new tab).

Currently, the Hitman 3 page on Steam (opens in a new tab) says:

You can keep things (relatively) simple by playing "Hitman 3" and going straight into the final installment of the trilogy, but that's not a great option either, since some of the trilogy's best levels are in the first two games.

IO Interactive has now decided to put that philosophy into practice by expanding all of the content from Hitman 1, 2 and 3 into Hitman: World of Assassination.
