Asus unveiled the ROG Raikiri Pro, an officially licensed Xbox gaming controller at CES 2023.The ROG Raikiri Pro not only has many great configuration features, it also has an OLED panel on top.

However, this is not an OLED for gaming. This is a 1.3" OLED display that can play custom animations, display microphone status, and show battery level.

This small display is neatly tucked into the top of the controller and is part of several design features to personalize gameplay. the ROG Raikiri Pro also includes a physical switch to change the activation of the trigger, This is useful if you like to pew pew and move short distances. Additionally, there is a mute button, a built-in ESS DAC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Armoury Crate app allows you to remap the Raikiri Pro's buttons and adjust the joystick's sensitivity and dead zone.

Every gamer needs a controller. It's a fact of life: when you want to take a quick lap in "F1 22" (open in new tab) or get fed up with the keyboard controls in "The Witcher" (open in new tab), you will eventually need to switch from your trusty mouse and keyboard. Whether or not I need an OLED panel is another matter, but I'm very excited about the other features.

We'll have to wait and see more about battery life, but if the price is right, it could sneak into our Best Gaming Controllers (open in new tab) rankings. So far, we can say that this is the most extravagant controller we've seen at CES 2023.
