Whoa, Skub, Shaggy is going to be a bad guy like in "5 Nights at Freddy's".

As reported by Deadline (opens in new tab), actors Matthew Lillard (opens in new tab) and Josh Hutcherson (opens in new tab) have joined the cast of the upcoming film "Five Nights at Freddy's" The film was released in July. Popular FNAF streamer Dawko (opens in new tab) was then given the opportunity to reveal their specific roles in the film during St. Jude's charity stream. Hutcherson plays FNAF's original protagonist, Mike Schmidt, a security guard on the night shift, while Lillard plays William Afton, the founder of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Lillard is probably best known for his role as Shaggy in the live-action "Scooby-Doo" movie, as well as his many animated adaptations and "Multiverses."

The Lillard is doing a heel turn to terrorize young people in the name of some nefarious plot.

Lillard is also a great character actor at the height of his powers, an S-class "hey, that guy" who improves whatever he appears in. Whether he's frolicking as a serial killer in "Hackers" (open in new tab) or being interrogated for a murder he didn't commit in "Twin Peaks: The Return" (open in new tab), it's always Lillard's turn.

Aside from Lillard, you may recognize Hutcherson from his role as Peeta in the movie The Hunger Games. I can definitely see him playing the "stuck-up everyman who stumbles upon a cursed security guard job"; Dawko's stream also reveals that actress Piper Rubio (opens in new tab) will play Hutcherson's sister in the film, and Mary Stuart Masterson ( (opens in new tab) has revealed that she will play everyone's favorite FNAF character, the "unnamed female villain."

The movie "FNAF" will be directed by Emma Tami, who also directed "Blood Moon" (open in new tab) and "The Wind" (open in new tab). I have no idea how this film will turn out and have no expectations or preconceptions about it. But by the simple act of cutting a check to Matthew Lillard, the film "FNAF" has already secured its place on the right side of history.
