Easy loadout drops return in Warzone 2

Raven Software has announced that loadout drops will return to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 (opens in new tab). Technically, it is being added to Warzone 2 for the first time. However, the sequel shares a lot of DNA with its predecessor, so by all accounts it is a resurrected feature.

Anyway, in a Twitter thread published yesterday, Raven stated that loadout drop grenades are now available "at bi stations throughout Al Mazrah."

Originally introduced in the first Warzone, loadout drops allow players to purchase preset loadouts (including fully tricked-out weapons) at Buy Stations and airdrop their equipment into battle, allowing them to use their preferred equipment instead of scavenging from the environment equipment, allowing them to fight with the equipment of their choice.

The removal of loadout drops from Warzone 2 was one of the more significant changes made in the sequel, forcing players to fight for loadout drop public events or fight for control of a stronghold full of tough AI soldiers.

Raven said the continued presence of loadout drops in Warzone 2 "depends on the feedback we receive and the overall impact of the battle royale experience. This appears to be a shift in the studio's thinking about how Warzone 2 will work, and it certainly sparked a lot of discussion in the replies following Raven's announcement.

For those who would rather have hard currency than fight to get a loadout, here is the pricing for loadouts at the buy stations for each game mode

. However, since there are several other ways to obtain loadouts in Warzone 2, it is understandable that Raven does not want to make the purchase of loadouts too easy.

Now that you can buy loadouts in Warzone 2, you may want to brush up on how to earn cash in Raven's battle royale sequel or peruse the best loadouts in the game to get the upper hand in a fight.
