Amazon adds shorts and tights to new Lost Ark class, less lewd

The isometric fantasy fashion parade "Lost Ark" is one of those games that is at slightly different points in different regions. The Korean version is basically released before the Western version, so anyone who has played the Korean version, which is released by Amazon Games, usually knows what they are getting.

The artist is a young woman, and the Korean version favors extremely short skirts. And Amazon seems to consider some of the artist's Korean skins to be, well, a little too thirsty. 'There will be no changes related to gameplay, but some skins will be changed to fit Western conventions. Specifically, skins with short skirts will have shorts added under the skirt, while other skins will have their pant length adjusted or tights added."

The class itself summons monsters by painting them, but I believe it is also possible to hit monsters with a brush. The "Artist" is a support-oriented playstyle, with lower damage but plenty of ways to buff and heal the party. According to the developers, this is the first of a new class category called specialists, and another example will be available by the end of the year.

A Witcher crossover event also began in November for the Korean version, and will be available in January for the Western version. Geralt, Shiri, Jenefer, Tris, and Dandelion will appear in the game along with "voice-overs by the game's original actors" and a new event set on an island called the White Wolf's Lair. There will also be Witcher-themed cosmetics (clothing is the true end game of the game) and QoL improvements to the guild system and guild PvP.

February will mark the first anniversary of the game's launch in the West, which will be celebrated with a series of quests set on the continent of Lowen. Once these quests are completed, players will be able to choose a faction and participate in open-world PvP, starting a war over the continent. This will be a 96-player (48 vs. 48) battle, with base occupation and secondary objectives, and will take place at specific times during the week.

April and the artists are within the scope of this 2023 roadmap and don't seem to have met the brief, but we're there. The background art by Kaer Morhen of The Witcher is quite nice, and Lost Ark players will find among many other goodies a summoner class and the endgame Brelshaza Legion raid.

As for Geralt, he's a guy who should be in the tub, but he's bloody everywhere these days. Witcher crossovers include "Monster Hunter: World" and "Soul Calibur 6," and will soon appear in "Fortnite" Chapter 4.
